Donna Biernadski Leading Marketing Efforts To Save and Plant Trees

LISLE, IL (October 19, 2010) – Marketing executive Donna Biernadski of Chicago, who served an impressive array of high profile companies with expertise in global brand management and strategic initiatives, has joined The Morton Arboretum as Vice President of Marketing.

The Arboretum, an outdoor museum of trees, is “a world-class scientific and conservation organization that I have always admired and supported,” Biernadski says. She will oversee Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, and Visitor Programs.

Biernadski comes to the Arboretum from the marketing firm, Wunderman, where she served as Senior Vice President. Achievements include launching a customer loyalty program across Sears and Kmart, and growing revenues for all clients in spite of the recession.

In her role as Senior Vice President, Group Account Director at Euro RSCG, Biernadski managed a team of 75 with a multi-million dollar budget to lead strategic development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for Sprint consumer and business to business communications.

As Vice President, Account Director at Rapp Collins, Biernadski’s initiatives for the Hyatt Gold Passport loyalty program increased response rates to direct mail/email, and exceeded goals in expanding membership globally.

While at DDB Chicago, she rose to Vice President, Account Director, serving such high profile clients as McDonald’s, State Farm, Home Depot, Discover Card, LifeSource, and others. When DDB opened a branch office in Warsaw, Poland, the company chose Biernadski, who speaks Polish fluently, to serve as manager and liaison to the home office.

Biernadski began her professional career as Director of Advertising for Morton’s Steakhouse.

She earned a master’s degree in advertising from Northwestern University, a bachelor’s in business administration from Loyola of Chicago, and also served that university’s graduate school in a teaching role, as she did with Roosevelt University.

At the Arboretum, she will provide leadership in marketing that promotes programs central to the organization’s mission, benefiting trees, people, and communities.

The Morton Arboretum is a world-renowned leader in tree science and education, working to save and plant trees. The 1,700-acre outdoor museum features magnificent collections of 4,117 kinds of trees, shrubs, and other plants from around the world.
