Two Local Business Leaders Become Morton Arboretum Trustees
New Trustees To Help Promote And Support The Arboretum MissionLISLE, IL (February 25, 2008) – The Morton Arboretum welcomes Frederick Paulman and Darrell B. Jackson to its Board of Trustees.
Paulman, Co-Founder and President of RMB Capital Management, LLC in Chicago, will be serving his first term. Jackson, Group Executive-Private Client Services-Illinois, of Northern Trust Company in Oakbrook Terrace, is returning to the Arboretum board.
“These trustees will help carry out the Arboretum’s mission of encouraging everyone to plant trees for a greener, healthier, more beautiful world,” says W. Robert Reum, Chairman of the Arboretum Board of Trustees. “They will bring diverse experiences and perspectives to support the Arboretum as it continues to serve the community with relevant, wide-ranging, and high-quality offerings.”
Paulman developed a love for trees and nature early in life. His parents were passionate about the outdoors, and took the family camping during their summer vacations to national parks around the U.S. “Those trips helped to shape my appreciation for the outdoors, trees, and even gardening,” Paulman says.
Today, he and wife, Marni reside in Hinsdale, and have introduced their three children to the Arboretum’s special gifts, particularly the tree collections, award-winning Children’s Garden, hiking trails, and roads for biking.
Paulman earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado. Along with his role at RMB Capital Management, LLC, Paulman is board chairman at Peerless of America, a manufacturing business.
Jackson, of Naperville, has returned to the Arboretum board after serving in 2004-2005, and is looking forward to renewing his Arboretum involvement. He also serves on the board of the Executives Breakfast Club of Oak Brook, and is a member of the Union League Club, The DuPage Club, and The Graham School of Management Advisory Council of St. Xavier University.
Jackson earned a B.A. from St. Xavier University in Chicago, and a M.B.A. from the Kellogg Executive Masters Program at Northwestern University.
