“Tails on the Trails is meant to give our visitors a chance to share their love of nature and The Morton Arboretum with their pets,” says Jenelle Hardtke, special events manager. “It’s the perfect opportunity for the entire family to come and enjoy a spring day exploring the Arboretum.”
The cost is $5 per dog and regular admission fees for owners. Each dog will receive an Arboretum bandana with paid admission. A portion of the proceeds will go to local animal shelters. Dogs must be current with vaccinations, be social with other animals, and on a leash at all times while on the Arboretum property. Dogs will not be allowed inside buildings, the Children’s Garden, or the Maze Garden.
A second Tails on the Trails event will take place on September 13.
