Origami-Inspired Finds at The Arboretum Store

Inventive and imaginative, origami comes in myriad shapes and sizes. Large-scale metal pieces, part of our Origami in the Garden exhibition, can be found dotting our tree-lined grounds. Smaller versions and origami- and Japanese-themed accessories, home décor, and more can be found at The Arboretum Store.

Origami T-shirts
These soft poly/cotton blend T-shirts will remind you of your Origami in the Garden experience at the Arboretum for years to come. The Store offers three designs—the two cranes of the “Double Happiness” sculpture in red, the paper airplanes represented in the “Folding Planes” piece in gray, and the Pegasus of “Hero's Horse” in blue. Ultimate Origami for Beginners Kit

This is the perfect kit for origami beginners and children. The kit is the work of world-renowned origami designers and artists Richard L. Alexander and Michael G. LaFosse, who collaborated with Origami in the Garden creators Kevin and Jennifer Box on some of the exhibition’s pieces, including the “Seed Sower” squirrel sculpture. Together, they have selected paper folding projects from several popular origami categories that take the shape of flowers, paper airplanes, animals, and more. The kit contains an instructional booklet, DVD with tutorials, and 62 sheets of durable origami folding paper. $14.95
