Fun is sure to “fall” into place for the whole family. Start with a hike around Meadow Lake to see the Scarecrow Trail. Local Girl Scouts Troops have adorned the path around the lake with more than 50 cleverly decorated and nature-themed scarecrows. Once you take the half-mile trek, be sure to vote for your favorite at the Visitor Center.
Throughout every weekend in October, head to the award-winning Children’s Garden to play tricky games, fashion fun fall crafts, and plant a tree seed to take home in Trick or Trees.” This is a perfect way to get your kids into the fall season. Enjoy the Arboretum at dusk for a bat-themed walk around Lake Marmo and an unforgettable night under the twilight sky. Family Twilight Adventures: Batacular offers a playful family night to explore the world of bats, take a moonlit tram, and cosy up around the campfire and roast marshmallows. Suggested for families with children 10 and under, one adult per five children please. The event will be held on Fridays and Saturdays October 6 to October 19.Cost $19 per person ($16 for Arboretum members)
