LISLE, IL (January 21, 2013) – Whether or not the groundhog sees his shadow, your family can celebrate Groundhog Day with The Morton Arboretum’s Children’s Garden.
Join us February 2 and 3, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. for our self-guided Groundhog Daze. Kids can:
- Touch real groundhog fur and investigate a groundhog skull, as well as the pelts of some groundhog cousins including a beaver, mouse and muskrat.
- Crawl through a tunnel.
- Make a pop-up groundhog to take home.
Then, join us for a special Groundhog Daze edition of our Cool Kids Winter Play, a fifteen minute guided, outdoor play time. Join us at 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, when we will be playing games that relate to groundhogs!
Groundhog Daze and Cool Kids Winter Play are free with Arboretum admission.
The 2013 rates are:
$12/adult, ($8 on Wednesday), ages 18-64
$11/senior, ($7 on Wednesday), ages 65 and over
$9/child ($6 on Wednesday), ages 2-17
Under age 2 is free. Parking is free.
