LISLE, IL (November 1, 2013) – All aboard for The Morton Arboretum’s annual Enchanted Railroad, open Friday, November 22 to Monday, January 6 (closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).

Keeping the youngest train enthusiasts in mind, this model train display is designed to be easily seen from two feet off the ground. There are two levels of trains, with trains traveling between the levels and around the Enchantment Tree.

The LGB Model Railroad Club designs, installs and runs the exhibit. Now in its 12th year, attendance has grown to over 23,000 in 2012.

Free timed tickets are available in the Visitor Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (first come, first served). Enchanted Railroad will reopen at 4:30 p.m. for guests of Illumination: Tree Lights at The Morton Arboretum.

The Morton Arboretum is an internationally recognized outdoor tree museum on 1,700 acres. Admission Rate

Nonmember admission rates to The Morton Arboretum are $12 for adults ages 18-64 ($8 on Wednesday), $11 for seniors ages 65 and over ($7 on Wednesday), $9 for children ages 2-17 ($6 on Wednesday) and free for children under age 2. Parking is free with admission.
