On Saturday, May 16, The Morton Arboretum welcomed nearly 450 guests to the Brilliance in Bloom Dinner Party in support of the institution’s tree-focused work.
The Arboretum’s annual fundraising event raised more than $300,000 in support of the Arboretum’s programs and its mission to plant and protect trees for a greener, healthier, and more beautiful world.

This year’s event was generously supported by the 2015 Presenting Sponsor, U.S. Bank, as well as many individuals, foundations, and businesses. The evening featured a spectacular drawing, with prizes including earrings donated by A. Marek Fine Jewelry of Oak Brook, a catered dinner for 10 at the Arboretum, tickets to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra outdoor concert at the Arboretum in June, a majestic tree at the Arboretum dedicated to someone of the winner’s choice, and more. Guests enjoyed fare by Jewell Events Catering, decor by Kristina Taheri Special Events with Phillip's Flowers and music by Rose Collella and Guitarra Azul.

Funds raised through the annual Dinner Party support the Arboretum’s tree research programs, local and global conservation initiatives, educational offerings and community outreach programs, and help maintain the Arboretum’s 1,700-acre landscape of trees and plants.

The 2015 Dinner Party Committee  was co-chaired by Amy and Joe Weidenbach of Naperville. Committee members include Mary Ann Anderson (Lisle), Anna Caroline Ball (Glen Ellyn), Sandy Becky (Wheaton), Ann Grube (Hinsdale), Mirja Haffner (Chicago), Lucy Hayes (Naperville), Amy Louis (Hinsdale), Toni Mueller (Glen Ellyn), Patty Oleniczak (Wheaton), Valencia Ray (Naperville), Sherry Reum (Wayne), Catherine Slark (Burr Ridge), and Barbara Yokom (Chicago).
