LISLE, IL (March 22, 2013) – Live demonstrations take center stage at this year’s Nature Artists’ Guild spring exhibit at The Morton Arboretum.
For more than 25 years, the Nature Artists’ Guild of The Morton Arboretum has been showcasing its members’ talent in its annual spring exhibit. On Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., visitors can enjoy this year’s exhibit of more than 100 original pieces. There will be artworks in a variety of media, some available for purchase.
This year, guests will be able to watch the artists in action as they give live demonstrations throughout the weekend. “To watch an artist excel at their craft right in front of you is an incredible experience,” says Suzanne Wegener, nature arts education manager at the Arboretum. “Each show is different as the demonstrations and artists change. It’s a wonderful way for those interested in art to watch an artist at work.”
Entrance to the exhibit is free with Arboretum admission. The exhibit will be held in the Thornhill Education Center, located on the west side of the Arboretum.
The 2013 rates are:
Adult: $12 ($8 on Wednesday), ages 18-64.
Senior: $11 ($7 on Wednesday), ages 65 and over.
Child: $9 ($6 on Wednesday), ages 2-17. Under age 2 is free.
