Become an expert. Get certified. Dig deeper into a topic you love through our highly regarded certificate programs. Choose a certificate program (featured below) and complete an integrated study program, using core classes to build knowledge and electives to develop areas of interest. Certificate courses are open to everyone, whether or not you're pursuing the certificate. Most nature-enthusiasts obtain their certificate in two to three years. Learn more

Enrolled in college? Each semester, the Arboretum offers upper division courses in plant diversity, soil science, plant-insect interactions, and more. Our courses are available for college credit at 12 Chicago-area colleges and universities through our partnership with the Associated Colleges of the Chicago Area (A.C.C.A.). Lunch and learn
Enjoy a delightful buffet lunch and gain knowledge from lively talks and presentations provided by The Morton Arboretum staff and instructors. This engaging series covers a broad range of subjects including current research, interesting tree and plant lore, issues in conservation, and other nature topics. Education Classes and Workshops Cancellation Policy
Refund requests must be submitted to the registrar in writing and postmarked or emailed one business day prior to the class or program start date (or date of the first class if multiple sessions are included in the registration). If the registration fee is $25.00 or more, the registration fee will be refunded less a 10 percent processing charge. If the registration fee is less than $25.00, the registration fee will be refunded in full. Refunds will be issued by check if original payment was made by cash or check; or by credit to the same credit card used to make original payment. Fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable on and after the program’s start date. The Morton Arboretum cannot refund fees requested on or after the start date of a program or for sessions missed due to student illness or other personal situations. Students requesting refund must send written requests to Registrar, 4100 Illinois Route 53, Lisle, IL 60532, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Students will be issued a full refund in the event that The Morton Arboretum cancels a class for any reason.
