Forbidden Forest-5th-6th grade

Explore all things magical from the popular Harry Potter series. Use “magical” technology to discover the Arboretum’s wand trees. Try your hands at herbology, and find out if we “muggles” can unravel the science behind Harry Potter’s wizardry. The Arb Rocks! 3rd-4th grade

Rock out with an in-depth study of glaciers, soils, fossils, and rocks at The Morton Arboretum. Monday-Friday, June 13-17, 12:30-3:30 p.m. or July 18-22, 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Night Spies-5th-6th grade

What happens outside when people are fast asleep? Head out on a twilight hike to study the night stars, track animals, catch fireflies, and listen for creatures of the night at The Morton Arboretum. Tuesday-Thursday, June 21-23 or July 19-21, 2016, 7:00-10:00 p.m.

Forest Forts-3rd-4th grade

Design and build forts inspired by trees. Study trees up close and uncover their unique characteristics. Build a mini tree fort village as a group. Each child takes home their own mini tree fort at The Morton Arboretum. Dates and times vary starting June 15. Multiple sections.

Cold-blooded Creatures-7th-8th grade
