  • Camping Out-1st-2nd grade-Camp

    Gear up for a daytime camping excursion! Learn how to pitch a tent, fish, and make s’mores. Enjoy nature games, hikes, and songs at The Morton Arboretum. Monday through Friday, June 18 through 22, or July 9 through 13, or July 23 through 27, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Stripes and Spots-1st-2nd grade-Camp

    Animals are experts at hide and seek. Use your skills to uncover patterns in nature and see how well you can camouflage in the woods at The Morton Arboretum. Monday through Friday, June 4 through 8, or June 25 through 29, or July 23 through 27, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Go Fish-1st-2nd grade-Camp

    Make your own fishing pole and let’s go fishing. Enjoy stories, games, and fishing trips to the Arboretum’s best spots. Monday through Friday, June 11 through 15, or July 30 through August 3, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to noon, or July 9 through 13, 2018, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
  • Gotta Grow-1st-2nd grade-Camp

    Put on your gardening gloves and get ready to dig in the dirt. Examine flowers up close with microscopes, watch seeds germinate and decorate flower pots at The Morton Arboretum. Monday through Friday, June 11 through 15, or July 30 through August 3, 2018, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., or July 9 through 13, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to noon.
  • Magic School Bus Adventures-1st-2nd grade-Camp

    Join “Ms. Frizzle” on her latest adventure. Learn about plants, water and bugs through hands-on experiments and hikes at The Morton Arboretum. Monday through Friday, June 4 through 8, or July 23 through 27, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to noon, or June 25 through 29, 2018, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
  • Wiggly Worms (18–35 months)

    Dig in the dirt, wiggle like worms and investigate the world under our feet in this interactive, sensory based program. We’ll also take a short hike and listen to stories and play in the dirt at The Morton Arboretum! Tuesday August 7, or Wednesday, August 15, 2018, 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
  • Young Impressionists-1st-2nd grade-Camp

    Become a mini Monet! Explore the Arboretum for artistic inspiration and use impressionist techniques to create a masterpiece.Monday through Friday, June 18 through 22, or August 6 through 10, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to noon, or July 16 through 20, 2018, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
  • Forest Fairy Friends-1st-2nd grade-Camp

    Are fairies hidden in the forest? Discover woodland plants and animals. Create your own fairy and, as a group, build a fairy village at The Morton Arboretum. Monday through Friday June 4 through 8, or July 23 through 27, 2018, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., or June 25 through 29, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to noon.
  • Nature’s Lab-1st-2nd grade-Camp

    Explore nature through the eyes of a scientist. Catapult seeds, make sun prints, and experiment with leaves as you use the outdoors as your laboratory at The Morton Arboretum.Monday through Friday, June 4 through 8, or June 25 through 29, or July 16 through 20, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Walk in the Wild-3rd-4th grade-Camp

    Walk in the wild parts of the Arboretum and explore nature. Discover the differences between bees and wasps, go bird watching, and hunt for animal footprints.   • Woodland Fairies-3rd-4th grade-Camp

  • Adaptive Art-3rd-4th grade-Camp

    Do you think you can paint with a beak, sculpt with a paw, or draw with a claw? Find out how Arboretum animals are adapted to life in the woods, ponds, and prairies and embrace various artistic media to capture these unique animal features.   • Going Buggy-3rd-4th grade-Camp

  • Forest Forts-3rd-4th grade-Camp

    Design and build forts inspired by trees. Study trees up close and uncover their unique characteristics at The Morton Arboretum. Monday through Friday, dates and times vary starting June 4, 2018. Multiple full day sections.
  • Outdoor Adventures-3rd-4th grade-Camp

    Get outside and explore! Set off on a different adventure each day as you explore geocaching, letterboxing, survival skills, and more at The Morton Arboretum.   • Science of Why-3rd-4th grade-Camp

    Have you ever wondered WHY? Find out as we conduct experiments using the scientific method. Delve into why leaves change color, where rainbows come from, how fireflies glow, and other scientific mysteries at The Morton Arboretum.   • Children’s Garden Campout

    Join us for a campout designed especially for families! Pitch your tent on the lawn inside the Children’s Garden and get ready for a night filled with fun at The Morton Arboretum.   • A Week of Wetlands-5th-6th grade-Camp

    Enjoy hands-on investigations of all things aquatic. Experiment with water and its properties, trudge through the wetlands to gather water samples, and use scientific equipment to inspect plants and animals that call ponds, lakes, rivers, and marshes home at The Morton Arboretum.   • Filming in the Forest-5th-8th grade-Camp

    If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many words is a video worth? Capture the movements of nature from falling leaves to crawling caterpillars and make a moving story out of the natural world at The Morton Arboretum.   • Nature Photography I-5th-8th grade-Camp

  • Acting at the Arb-5th-8th grade-Camp

    With the forest as the stage, act out the drama (or comedy) of the natural world. Explore the history of the Arboretum, the natural drama of animal survival, and create a tree-mendous performance. Monday through Friday, July 9 through 13, or July 30 through August 3, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Vitamin N-5th-8th grade-Camp

    Just a spoonful of nature makes a happier and healthier you! Try out some natural ways to work towards a healthy body and mind, including nature walks, yoga, journaling, coloring, and much more as we take time for wellness at The Morton Arboretum.   • Nature Photography II-5th-8th grade-Camp

  • Arboretum Invaders-7th-8th grade-Camp

    Uncover alien species that have invaded the woodlands, prairies, and wetlands of Illinois. Learn how to remove these invasive species and develop ways to prevent their return at The Morton Arboretum. Monday through Friday, June 18 through 22, or July 16 through 20, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
