Trees & Gardens

With the proper sunlight, the right soil, and enough water, trees develop beautifully.  In an environment filled with engaging activities, young and old learn and thrive in wonderful ways as well.

The Arboretum’s 1,700 acres of woods, gardens, lakes, and prairie invite exploration and discovery.  Walking paths, roads, and trails lead you into collections and habitats that display the diversity of nature.  The Children’s Garden, with places like Evergreen Lookout, are designed to spark a child’s curiosity about trees and the natural world.

Together, our collections, gardens, and programs create a place that plants the seeds for endless wonder and discovery.

Here, you can happen upon wildlife, including nearly 200 species of birds.  Here, you can hike along 16 miles of trails among majestic trees.  Here, you can flourish.

The Arboretum conducts a wildlife management program.
