For artists interested in applying to the event:
This juried art show featuring nature-themed artwork is now receiving applications. Approximately 40+ artists will be chosen to participate in this unique, outdoor, curated boutique-style art show. Booths are placed around the paved 0.6 mile trail surrounding Meadow Lake and the adjacent area, which is located near the main Visitor's Center. We are looking for artists whose artwork is created using natural materials or having a nature-theme or subject to appeal to our nature-loving audience. These themes could include, but are not limited to, trees, flowers, landscapes, birds, insects, woodland creatures, etc.
Application deadline: January 31, 2018 (jury fees are due when applications are submitted). Applications may be submitted after this date, but submissions will be wait-listed, and are not guaranteed into the event.
Jury Fees: $25, non-refundable - due at the time of application
*Booth fees will not be refunded after June 1, 2018, for any reason.
Applications are due by January 31, 2018. Applications received after this date will be wait-listed, and artists will be notified to this affect. The jury process will take place during the month of February and early March, and all accepted artists will be notified by March 15, 2018. If accepted, your confirmation email will include additional information regarding required booth fee payment and insurance waivers, and deadlines for both. Once an applicant has been accepted, you will be notified that a second "call" is out on YouJudgeIt.org for the processing of the booth fee payment and liability waiver. The jury committee will also select alternates for our wait list, if needed. Alternates will receive a notice to this effect.
Here is what artists had to say about our 2017 event:
"Surrounded by nature, this festival is VERY well attended, making it one of my most successful art festivals two years in a row. It is well run, with set up and take down that is easier than most. It is fun and energizing, and profitable."
"The Morton Arboretum is the perfect venue to hold a nature themed Art Fair. The staff of the Arboretum ensures that this event is a perennial favorite of both artists and patrons alike. Amidst many art events in the Chicagoland area, the Morton Arboretum Wine and Art Walk is a major highlight."
"Beautiful venue filled with enthusiastic, knowledgeable patrons."
