Schedule and Location

Through June 21, 2018 - Artist in residence (on weekdays, you can watch Thomas Dambo and his team build,  crews will not work on Memorial Day, May 28).

June 22  - The hunt begins!

The sculptures, each created especially for its Arboretum site, will remain indefinitely.

Journey through our far-reaching forest to watch as Danish artist Thomas Dambo creates six whimsical trolls from reclaimed wood. See how these 15- to 20-foot-tall sculptures are crafted one by one, each a protector of our environment.

All trolls are located between 2 feet and 3/4 of a mile from the nearest parking area on a variety of path surfaces (pavement, wood-chipped, and mown grass).

4 of the 6 trolls can be observed from your car on the main driving route.
