Dress Like a Tree, Get In Free

This April 25, The Morton Arboretum is celebrating Arbor Day with a slate full of fun events, including the first-ever chance to visit for free by dressing up like your favorite tree.  Children under 12 participating in the promotion will then have the chance to win a prize in our “Tree-Riffic Costume Contest,” held outside of our Children’s Garden.

The promotion is part of The Morton Arboretum’s extensive celebration leading up to Arbor Day, April 25 – with events encouraging everyone to “Go ahead. Hug a tree.”

We’ve compiled all kinds of creative ways you can dress like a tree, on the Arboretum’s Pinterest page, at www.pinterest.com/mortonarboretum.  Grab some leaves, felt, even a green hat and brown clothes will work!

It's Arbor Day, Go ahead. Hug a tree.
April 25 is The Morton Arboretum’s day to celebrate how TREE-mendous trees are. Take a bough, trees! We root for trees because we all needle little nature. And spring, when all the trees are leafing out and blooming, is nature’s ultimate trunk show. Hug a Tree on Arbor Day

Celebrate Arbor Day All Week
The Arboretum marks Arbor Day with an entire week of events we call Arbor Week. Among them are the Arbor Day 10K run, the Arbor Day Plant Sale, and a tree planting with Curious George.  Celebrate Arbor Week 2014
