Snowshoeing and Skiing

Traverse the winter landscape by snowshoeing or skiing the trails this season at the Arboretum.

Cross-country ski and snowshoe two-hour rentals are available when there are four or more inches of snow on the ground.

Guests are welcome to bring their own cross-country skis or snowshoes to the Arboretum prior to the start of ski and snowshoe rental season in mid-January. Skis and snowshoes are permitted only when there are four or more inches of snow on the ground.

Skiing and snowshoe trails are marked and trails are groomed as snowfall permits. Please see the ski route map for scenic trail routes.

Details

Rentals are available on a first come, first served basis. Admission to the Arboretum does not guarantee that equipment will be available. Equipment can be rented for two hours. The last rental time (one-hour) is 3:00 p.m.; equipment must be returned by 4:00 p.m. Payment for rentals is by credit card only.

The Arboretum’s East Side trails are unavailable for skiing and snowshoeing until mid-January. Guests who bring their own gear may ski or snowshoe on the West Side trails, but should be aware that West Side trails will not be groomed.
