Spice up your Cinco de Mayo at The Morton Arboretum! Dine and dance in the beautiful Ginkgo Restaurant at our Cinco de Mayo dinner. Enjoy south-of-the-border flavors and music.

 

Cinco De Mayo Dinner 2017 Menu
 

First Course - Aperitivo
Tortino de pez Espada

Layered fish, cucumbers, roma tomatoes, oregano, lime juice and baby greens
Paired with a Michelada*

Second Course - Ensalada
Poblano and Fresh Corn salad
Bibb lettuce, aged Cotija cheese, cilantro chipotle dressing

Third Course – Platillos Ligeros
Huachinango a la Veracruzana
Veracruz-style red snapper, farmer’s market tomatoes, capers, olives, garlic, mushroom and spinach with polenta
Served with Milagro Select Barrel Reserve Añejo

Fourth Course – Platillo Fuerte
Carne Asada

Grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce accompanied by chipotle roasted sweet potatoes and cilantro rice
Served with classic Patrón margarita

Fifth Course - Postre
Coconut and Pineapple Flan

Mixed berries and salted caramel sauce
Served with Mexican coffee

 

*What’s a michelada? A Mexican “cerveza preparada” made with beer, lime juice, and assorted sauces, spices, and peppers. It is served in a chilled, salt-rimmed glass.

FEES AND ADMISSION: 

Included in the ticket price: sales tax, unlimited photo booth prints, five-course meal with a margarita and tequila pairing, and an evening with live music. Must be 21 and over to participate.
