Join us for intimate classical concerts and sociable receptions at the historic Thornhill Education Center.
All performances begin at 2:15 p.m. and are held in the Arbor Room of the Thornhill Education Center. After each performance, gather for a reception to meet the artists and fellow audience members in the splendor of the Founder's Room, the original library of the Arboretum's founder, Joy Morton.
RESCHEDULED: Tesla Quartet - Concert has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 29, 2015*.
Winner of the Gold Medal at the 2012 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and Prizewinner in the 2012 London International String Quartet Competition and 2013 Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition, the Tesla Quartet was formed at The Juilliard School in 2008 and quickly established itself as one of the most promising young ensembles in New York, winning Second Prize at the J.C. Arriaga Chamber Music Competition only a few months after its inception.
The London Evening Standard called their rendition of the Debussy Quartet “a subtly coloured performance that balanced confidently between intimacy and extraversion,” and The Strad has praised them as “technically superb.”
