T101 NGSS in Your Backyard

Join Arboretum scientists for an introduction to various tree and environmental science disciplines and discussion of current research projects and their relevance to your classroom. Participate in a workshop-style discussion on how to utilize Arboretum resources as a classroom tool to help with the implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Outline project-based learning applications that connect this research to the NGSS.

Notes: Activities take place both indoors and outdoors.  Please dress for the weather. Lunch is provided. Participants earn 6 CPDUs.
