Explore the rich diversity of Korean plants on two high, rugged mountains and one offshore island. In fall 2013, the Arboretum’s head of collections and curator, Kunso Kim led the International Dendrology Society's botanical exploration to the mountains of Korea. Follow the team as they experience the unique habitats and plants found on Chiri Mountain, Ullung Island, and Sorak Mountain. Kunso will share images of beautiful mountains, take you on a stunning photographic tour of the plants the team saw, and discuss what they learned as they tried to understand why these areas are biologically so diverse and unique.
