Local Flora: Summer

Discover the names of the wildflowers filling the prairies in summer. Learn the identification and characteristics of native and introduced plants flowering in the woodlands, prairies, wetlands, and other areas of the Arboretum. 
 
Instructor: Sharon Yiesla, plant clinic assistant, The Morton Arboretum
Notes: Held indoors and outdoors. Includes hiking outdoors in summer in each class. Please dress for the weather, including sun protection. Limit 18.
Supplies: Bring your favorite field guide, a water bottle, and a hand lens.
Certificate information: No previous experience necessary. Only one course in this series is required for both the Naturalist and Botanical Art and Illustration Certificates; may be used to fulfill a :WSP Elective (15 hours).
