Film Noir and the Still Photo

In the 1940’s, film noir was a groundbreaking motion picture style that emphasized a low-key black & white format with unbalanced compositions. We will view the first film of this genre, Citizen Kane, and discuss various photographic elements used in the film.  You will then learn how to apply film noir elements to create black & white versions of your color photographs.
