Camping Basics

A family enjoys time together outside their tent. Get outdoors with your family or friends this summer! New to camping? No problem. This class will teach you everything you need to know to have a fun and safe weekend adventure under the stars. In this interactive class, you will learn:

  • how to choose a great campsite, including recommended campgrounds in the area
  • what to pack
  • where and how to pitch your tent
  • how to build a fire
  • basic campfire cooking
  • basic outdoor safety
  • some great camping activities that are fun for all ages

Enjoy a campfire and some s'mores, try out some games, and more!

Instructor: Bre Cullen, former wilderness guide
Notes: Held outdoors.  Ages 16+ (Ages 11-15 with an adult.) Bring insect repellent and sunscreen, and dress for the weather. Limit 20
