Acrylic on Wood: Hand-painted Ornaments

These hand painted sparrows on wood are painted with acrylic.
Learn techniques for painting on a wooden surface using acrylics. Artist and teacher Lindsay Sandbothe will demonstrate her technique for painting wood with acrylic. Then you will have the opportunity to create your own hand-painted tree cookie to give as a gift or display in your home.

Notes: Previous experience working with acrylics is required. Limit 18
Supplies: Please bring an image you would like to paint, acrylic paints, and brushes (white synthetic bristles are recommended for this surface):
  • One 1-inch flat brush
  • One small flat brush for blocking in colors
  • The SMALLEST little round brush you have for details!

Brushes are available to borrow if you don’t have a set and don’t wish to purchase them
