Cultural Requirements: Full sun to shade; moist soil; well-drained soil; pH adaptable; grafted plant, remove unwanted suckers.

Ornamental Characteristics: Multi-stemmed or tree-like shrub; wide, medium green leaves with irregular creamy-white leaf margins; spiny stems; showy creamy-white flowers; blue-black fruit favored by birds.

Use in the Landscape: Shrub border, remote areas of the landscape where the stems will not be a problem.
