Height: 6-10' Spread: 10-15' Habit/Form: Irregular to rounded Growth Rate: Medium Zone: 4-8

Cultural Requirements: Grows in sun or shade in moist, organically rich, well drained soil. Avoid extremely wet or dry sites.

Ornamental Characteristics: Dark green leaves turn yellow to golden yellow in the fall. Extremely early (February/March) spring flowers are strap-like, twisting petals of red tapering to orange at the tips. They appear before the foliage, even when snow may still be on the ground.

Uses in the Landscape: A great specimen plant, for screening, in groups, or naturalizing.
