Height: 45-60' Spread: 25-30' Habit/Form: Pyramidal in youth, upright-oval with age Growth Rate: Medium  Zone: 3-7

Cultural Requirements: Full sun; pH adaptable; prefers moist, well-drained soil; pollution tolerant; found on limestone in the wild; benefits with mulch layer for a cool root environment; water in dry periods.

Ornamental Characteristics: Shiny dark green leaves change to clear yellow fall color; pendulous fragrant flowers in June; fuzzy rounded nutlet attached to papery bract.

Use in the Landscape: Excellent shade tree for lawns, street or parkway tree.
