Height: 70-75' Spread: 25-30' Habit/Form: Pyramidal Growth rate: medium to fast Zones: 3-6

Cultural Requirements: Full sun required, intolerant of shade; best grown in well-drained, moist soils.

Ornamental Characteristics: Deciduous conifer (cone-bearing but loses needles); bright green foliage in spring changing to medium green throughout summer, turning a golden yellow in fall before dropping.

Use in the Landscape: Specimen or in groups for parks and large areas


Birds Attracted: Nuthatches, finches, chickadee, grosbeak, and crossbill
Plant Appeal for Birds: Cones; shelter; nesting site

Aerial Salt Tolerance: Highest degree of salt tolerance. Use in the most exposed areas.
