Common Name: Wayfaring Tree

Height: 10-15' Spread: 10-15' Habit/Form: Upright-rounded Growth Rate: Medium Zone: 4-7
Cultural Requirements: Full sun to part shade in well-drained, loamy soil, but will withstand drier and more alkaline conditions better than most viburnums. Fruiting is maximized when several different clones are in close proximity.
Ornamental Characteristics: Dark green leaves seldom develop good fall color. White, flat-topped flowers are borne in May. The handsome fruit are an outstanding feature, beginning yellow and changing to red and black often with all color on the same cluster.
Uses in the Landscape: An old standby because of its adaptability and reliability. Plants often appear 'leggy'(no leaves near base) so they look better near the back of the border, in mass, or in groupings. Also good for naturalizing.
