Programs for Children & Families

The only garden that grows curiosity. A trip to the Children's Garden will spark your child's curiosity and imagination about trees and the natural world. See a list of activities and programs that visitors of all ages will enjoy.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult while visiting the Children's Garden.

Hours
9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. November-February
9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. March-October
Extended hours on Thursday evenings until 6 p.m., May-September

NOTE: Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve at 3 p.m., and Christmas Day

Severe weather may close the Children's Garden temporarily.

NOTE: Various areas of the Children's Garden are closed from the beginning of December through the end of March.

TADPOLES

The tadpoles we get each spring in the Children's Garden are American Toads. This is a natural occurrence and their arrival depends on the temperature of the water.
