  • LEGO® brick play

    What will nature inspire you to build with LEGO bricks? Building gardens, weekends in September 2015. Building spiders, weekends in October. 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Library Exhibit: Plant Hunters

    The exhibit features artifacts from the library’s special collection relating to famous plant hunters, and it explores modern conservation efforts by scientists at the Arboretum. Tuesdays-Saturdays, during regular library hours.
  • Theatre-Hikes® At The Morton Arboretum

    Experience the theater on nature's stage as plays based on literary tales are presented during hikes through the scenic landscape of The Morton Arboretum. Weekends, July 5-October 31, 2015 and Columbus Day, 2015. No performances September 5 & 6
  • Family Explorers Backpack

    Looking for a unique experience in the Children’s Garden? Rent a self-guided family backpack and enhance your visit. Available daily, April-October, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
  • Splendid Spiders

    Find out where spiders live and how they help our gardens. Weekdays in October, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Weekends in October, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Halloween at the Arb

    Families come to The Morton Arboretum on Halloween, Saturday, October 31, 2015. All children under the age of 17 are admitted free on this day. A Halloween scavenger hunt will take place from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. Halloween costumes are encouraged.
  • Annual Bulb Sale

    Shop dozens of varieties of dutch bulbs such as tulips, daffodils, iris, alliums, crocus, fritillaria, and many more. Begins the weekend of October 3 & 4, 2015 at The Arboretum Store, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Available daily 10:00 am - 6:00 pm at The Arboretum Store through October 31, while supplies last.
  • BOO Breakfast

    Treat yourself to our new BOO Breakfast complete with visits from favorite characters on Saturday, October 31, 2015. Costumes encouraged. Tickets on sale now!
  • Nature Connects®: Art with LEGO® bricks by Sean Kenney

  • Gnome Hunt

    Can you find all of the gnomes hiding in The Morton Arboretum's Children's Garden? Daily, November-December, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Gnome Homes

    Take a hike through the Children’s Garden to hunt for all of the hiding gnomes, then create a keepsake, light-up gnome home of your own! Saturdays and Sundays November 2015-March 2016, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
  • Winter Play

    Join us in the Children's Garden for winter time fun! Daily in November and December in the Children’s Garden from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Weather permitting.
  • 2015-2016 Chamber Concert Series

    Enjoy intimate classical concerts and friendly receptions at The Morton Arboretum's historic Thornhill Education Center. Monthly performances November 2015 through March 2016.
